Today has been a very good day straight from the minute I opened my eyes! I just could feel it! And the best part of it: for no specific reason! it just has been G-O-O-D!!! Life is good! I just enjoy being here in Brussels doing what I do and meeting the people I meet! Eating the stuff that I’m eating, seeing the things that I see!
It feels like a wind whirl of good luck and energy filling me up and spreading around me. I simply love it!
As mentioned – today has been a good day! At work I had a lot done, which feels good, and the best part: it is INTERESTING! I just got an insight at work. Now I have been working in a big multinational firm (in London), a small one-mans firm (in Turku), and now I’m working in a middle-sized firm (in Brussels). Honestly, I prefer the small and middle-sized firms. In such big firms, one gets too impersonal in a way. I love my current work – I get all the latest and hottest news on what’s going on in the European Union, kind of one step ahead (official and public sources, though), and it simply is interesting. I’m right in the middle of European Union’s decision making, and I’ve got to know where to find the information on latest news in every area that concerns the Union. Wow! I’m sucking in all the information I get, and I feel tremendously fulfilled by it. And I get to write, which I also enjoy a lot! And I love the international atmosphere here. And the way of going out to get some lunch, and eating it at the office. My kind of style. ;)
Before work, one of the other interns came to bring her luggage to my hotel room, since she was to move into this hotel later on today (check-in is at 3pm). After work she came to get her stuff and checked in. She still hasn’t found an apartment, so she had to go to check one out, while I went shopping. For two days now I have tried to find something at the sales, but I just haven’t been on the mood. But today was the day. A very good day. Even for shopping. SalesSalesSales… ;) Discounts on -50%, -30% and -70%... And why should I mind?! You should know, that I don’t! Esprit has all the best clothes for my taste. Even so today. So I got a bunch of new lovely working and casual clothes. Love them!

After that, again, to Carrefour, to get me some breakfast stuff. As a reminder, there is no fridge or mini-bar in this hotel-room, so I just have to buy the breakfast for the next morning the evening before. I also bought a small bottle of J. P. Chenet for the intern, whose successor I am, and who is at the office for her last day tomorrow.
I think I might go to Place du Luxembourg tomorrow for an after-work. Unless the intern, who is leaving, has planned something out for the rest of us. Who knows. Or should it be the other way around, that we should plan something for her? Well, we have the J. P. Chenet for her, as a gesture, though.
I booked one more night at this hotel for Sat-Sun night, since I had booked the room only until Saturday. I should get to move in to the flat in Ixelles on Sunday. I heard that there is an outdoor market held in Ixelles during weekends. Yay, since I love all sorts of markets! And on Saturday I have to go back to Anderlecht to Ikea to get me the duvet and towels for the new flat. Btw, I notice that I'm automatically speaking French at times already. It’s awesome how quick the catching-up-of-it comes.
It is amazing how many people I know that are here. People, who I didn’t know even being here. Yay for that, too! I will continue my perfect day with a perfect evening and a perfect night. Good night for now, then!
