Today is the International Women’s Day, but I’m not going into that configuration, since there are probably many others who want to promote the gender equality, and I’m not part of that gang at this point of life. Instead, I have lied in bed in stomach influenza.
Last week went, as per usual, by very fast. I’ve had a lovely time here with introducing myself to different outdoor markets, new places and restaurants. The weekend before the last I had a round trip around Brussels again and visited Grand Place and Manneken Pis.

Last week I babysat for two nights, and during work time I visited the European Parliament. I have been to the EP before, but it was nice to get an insider's round tour there this time.
and last Wednesday I went to Place du Chatelain to attend a so called Wine and Cheese market. It was such a lovely small market with many stands with all kinds of foods you could buy. My saldo was two pieces of cheese (Appenzeller and Gruyer), a baguette, strawberries (1 euro per package), mushrooms (1 euro per package), small salamis, ribs in honey marinade, a few pieces of Thai food, and some warm wine in the cold evening.
On Saturday I visited Ghent, which is located half an hour by train outside of Brussels. The return ticker cost, by the way, only 9 euro. One of my friends has been there as an exchange student and he said it is the best city in Belgium – I can almost agree with that. It was very cozy. On Sunday I visited the Flagey-outdoor market again, and it was even better this time than the first time. I simply love outdoor markets!!!
Last week I found myself a new cheap “furnishing store” like Ikea but nearer to me than Ikea itself in Ceria. The shop is called Casa, and I could just wander around there for hours without even buying anything.
There is something I would like to write about, but I will have to take it later when I have more focus on the subject. Right now, I simply have to rest. I got some heavy cramps in my stomach yesterday at work, and lied in bed all evening after that, and today I couldn’t even get to work and have slept almost the whole day.
So, we’ll just have to wait for that I get my physical health up again, after which I will start exploring again.
